I was heading on a solo camping trip with my dog from Edmonton to Lake Louise. I had just gotten outside of Calgary when my car decided to have a fit. Luckily i pulled into the petro station and called AMA for a tow, who also who informed me no mechanics were open on the weekend. I thought that was wrong since, and after a quick search i found Raptors! Luckily this happened to me around 1 pm so they still had operating hours left in the day. I called and explained my situation, that I wasn’t from here and was heading out on a trip, and gave a recollection of what happened with my car. I was told to bring it in and they would see what they could do, which I was so grateful for. I got there, and due to my situation they checked the car right away and were able to sort out what had gone wrong. Within 2 hours of arriving, they had done the inspection, ordered the parts and installed them for me. I am so pleased with the customer service i received from the front desk, and also the swiftness of the mechanics in the back. I am so happy I chose Raptors and highly recommend their services. Im so grateful they were able to help me out in a last minute emergency situation, and that they were able to get me back on the road so I didn’t have to sacrifice any of my trip. My recent visit to this shop on my way back to Ontario was an absolute disaster. I had paid for a diagnosis to figure out why my steering wheel was wobbling at high speeds, but the shop ended up doing a wheel balance instead. Not only did this fail to fix the problem, but I also had to wait for two hours while the mechanic seemed to be joyriding in my car, revving up the engine for no reason. The customer service was also severely lacking, with the guy at the front desk wearing a blue Nike hat being completely unhelpful. It was only when the owner called me hours later that I found out the issue was actually with the suspension. I'm still wondering why no one at the shop was able to tell me this sooner. We were stranded in Calgary with a muffler on our Honda Odyssey that was not going to make it through the mountains. Raptors were the only ones who could do a quick weld on a Sunday and got us back road worthy. Very grateful for Graham and the team. First of all, if I could give this place 6 stars, I would! I called this morning just 10 minutes before they opened, and Graham, the General Manager, answered the phone. I explained that I was driving this vehicle from BC to Ontario, and he was able to fit me in for an emergency appointment at 9:00 AM. When I arrived at the garage, the mechanics started working on my vehicle within 10 minutes. Within 30 minutes, they had scanned and diagnosed the issue. My vehicle needed a transmission service, and once I gave them the go-ahead, they got straight to work. My vehicle was dropped off at 9:00 AM, diagnosed by 9:30 AM, and ready for pickup by 12:00 PM. Graham personally called me to let me know it was ready and even sent me photos of what they had found. The service, communication, and turnaround time were absolutely incredible. I seriously couldn’t recommend this garage enough. If you’re looking for a trustworthy shop that genuinely cares about its customers, this is the place to go!
